Welcome!

All it took was one pottery class and I was hooked on clay.   It has led me down paths I never imagined.

Every piece of pottery is a record of history made at a particular time and place, under particular circumstances.   Although it may be the same hands and the same process, the exact conditions will never be duplicated again.  The result is something unique and perfect in its own right.  I feel the same way about the people who use my pottery in their everyday life.  They are one of a kind too.  They are experiencing their own time in their history of life.  It may be with a quiet cup of tea in a beautiful mug, experiencing the feel of the glaze or the shape of the handle.   A moment never to be duplicated or lived exactly the same again.  I love knowing that the human hand and heart has touched each piece; again making it unique and distinct.

I live in Nanaimo, B.C. on beautiful Vancouver Island.  I work as a Systems Analyst but carve out time to pursue this passion.    It has been a few years since that very first class and I am so glad I stepped outside of the comfort zone.    Pottery may seem a long way from the world of computers but both require process, knowledge, creativity and the need for continued learning.

My work is available at  Imagine That in Duncan, BC,  the Train Station Pottery Shop in Parksville, BC.  And coming soon to the Farm store at the Unicorn Farm in Errington, BC on June 1, 2017!

The intent of this site is to share some pictures of my pottery.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them!
